Amazon Price Match & Price Adjustment

Amazon Price Match

Amazon Price Match & Adjustment policy constantly compare Amazon’s prices to our competitors’ prices to make sure that our prices are as low or lower than all relevant competitors. As a result, we don’t offer price matching.

Even so, you can be sure that the e-commerce giant is giving you a great deal, and if you find the product you want cheaper somewhere else, there may still be a way to get Amazon to match that price.

Amazon doesn’t let you match the price of a product on its site. Amazon’s aggressive pricing is one of the reasons why it became so popular and why it still is today.

Amazon Price Adjustment

Does Amazon Offer Price Adjustment

Amazon Price Adjustment guaranteed the price of everything it sold or shipped for 30 days. After a while, the guarantee was cut from 30 days to 7 days, and it was also taken away. That means you can’t change the price or get your money back.

If you buy a TV on Amazon, you have seven days after the purchase date to ask for a post-purchase adjustment. To submit the price adjustment request, go to your “Order details” page on your Amazon account and click the link that says “Found a lower price?” Again, this is something that can only be done with TVs.

Keep in mind that Amazon does give refunds for returns, so if you find the same product for a lower price and you’re still within the return period, you could get Amazon to pay you back and buy the product.

You might also be able to use the Price Protection that some Credit Card companies offer.

Amazon Pricing Strategy

Amazon tries to match or beat the lowest prices on products before they are even listed. It even tells its third-party sellers to do the same thing.

But there may be times when Amazon didn’t notice a lower price before listing a product or when a product’s price dropped somewhere else but not on Amazon.

In this case, you may be able to do something to see if Amazon will match the lower price.

When you look at a product on Amazon, you may see a section called “product details.” There is a well-hidden gem in this part of the page that might lead to a price match.

Keep an eye out for the link in the question “Would you like to tell us about a lower price?” after you click on “Product Details.” You can fill out a price match form by clicking on this link.

You’ll have to show proof that the lower price is true, though. Now, there’s no guarantee that Amazon will match the lower price you found elsewhere for the same product, but it’s worth a try! If your question was answered, the price of the item should go down over the next few days.

Amazon Pre-order Price Guarantee

Amazon doesn’t offer Price Match, but they have a new policy where if you pre-order something, you get the Amazon Price Guarantee.

Physical Items

You get the Guarantee when you pre-order something from Amazon. Keep in mind that this option is only available for products whose descriptions say “Pre-order price guarantee.”

On this offer, you have to pay the lowest price that product can be sold for. That means the lowest price for that item between the date it was ordered and the date it was shipped.

For example, if you pre-ordered an iPhone from Amazon and the price went down after it came out, you would get a refund. Then you don’t have to pay the price it was when you placed your order.

At the time of launch, you will pay the lower price. In the same way, if the price goes up when the product comes out, you don’t have to pay the higher price. You will only have to pay the item’s lowest price when you ordered it.

Digital Content and Media

Price Guarantee is still available if you pre-order Digital Media or content from Amazon.

Software downloads, Amazon music, Kindle books, and Digital games are all types of digital content.

When you pre-order digital content from, you have to pay the lowest price. Any digital content that you pre-order from Amazon is covered by Amazon’s Price Guarantee. The lowest price is based on the time between when you order something and when it comes out. Returns Policy

Items shipped from, including those from Amazon Warehouse, can be returned within 30 days, with a few exceptions:

  • Items that can’t be returned can be found on the page Items that Can’t be Returned
  • Find the product type below to see if a product sold by has a longer return time. If the type of product isn’t listed or doesn’t say anything else, our standard return policy of 30 days applies.
  • Most sellers have return policies that are the same as Amazon’s, but some may be different. If the seller’s listing is eligible for Amazon Prime, it will be subject to the same return policies as items fulfilled by, which are explained on this page. See Returns to Third-Party Sellers for more information on how to send items back to them.
  • See Amazon Global Store Returns for information on how to return items bought from the Amazon Global Store.
  • See Refunds for information on when to expect a refund.
  • See Mistaken Returns if you sent an item back to Amazon by accident or if you sent back something that wasn’t meant for Amazon.
